…or so they say. As if the first thing a minimum wage earner will think about when you give him a thousand pesos is not food. Or as if spending it on vices, earned from a life of poverty that affords them very little of distractions even though they need it most, is a mortal sin. Or as if buying anything to pleasure themselves, for the first time in decades, is excessive.
It’s not right to say there is happiness in the world money cannot buy. It’s more apt to say there is happiness in the world that costs nothing.
